Our first idea was to have a couple doing various different "couple" activities together on a screen split into four, with a different activity happening in each section simultaneously. This is to show the relationship described through the lyrics of the song (The couple are spending time together and they do not want it to end so they keep spending time together). After discussing this idea we realised this could get very dull if it was continued throughout an entire music video, it's also been done before so it's not very original.
Our second idea was to have the couple standing still in the foreground of all the shots, in the exact same position each time. By having busy backgrounds and using time lapse/sped up footage the small movements the actors made and the background movement would give the video it's own unique style. It would also give the feel of time passing which would work with the song lyrics because it would demonstrate how time feels like it's going too quickly for the couple and their day is going to be over too soon. But again this could become very repetitive.
Our third idea incorporates our previous two ideas together as well as being its own idea. Showing the couple spending time together doing "couple" activities, sometimes using different and interesting split screens and even possibly using the time lapse footage idea for one shot if it's fitting with a certain line of lyrics in the song. We've also decided to include performance, by filming the couple attending an In Blue Skies concert - if that can be arranged. Incorporating all of these ideas together will demonstrate the meaning behind the song as best as possible.
